Rugby World Cup Fireside Chats: Whiskey, Gin & Spirits Tasting at The Merrion

The Merrion Hotel is hosting a series of whiskey & gin tastings to coincide with the Rugby World Cup 2019 every Tuesday this October

While Ireland compete at the Rugby World Cup in Japan, Bar No.23 at The Merrion will host a series of challenge matches every Tuesday in the month of October.

Sample a number of very familiar Whiskeys & Gins from Ireland and experience some exciting spirits from all over the Rugby playing world.

Tuesday, 1st October – Ireland & France
A very special selection of Irish and French Whiskey

Tuesday, 8th October – Ireland & England
Enjoy a special selection of Irish and English Gins as we explore the influence of local ingredients

Tuesday 15th October – Ireland & Scotland
Two power houses of Whiskey go head to head in this tasting that includes Midleton Very Rare Barry Crockett Legacy and a special Scotch Whiskey selection

Tuesday, 22nd & Tuesday, 29th October – Ireland & The Barbarians
An Irish selection which includes Method & Madness Single Pot Still Chestnut finish & Redspot versus a special selection from Canada, Italy, Japan & Wales

Each Fireside Chat will begin from 7pm sharp on each date. Drinks will be served with specially matched canapés to complement the flavours of the evening.
