Walk Through the Flavours of Asia at Oriental Emporium

Learn more about the Oriental Emporium, with their walk-through tour where you’ll learn about the different Asian ingredients.

Learn about these Asian ingredients (that are both familiar and unfamiliar to the Irish market), how they source their products, and where all of Oriental Emporium’s fresh produce comes from. You’ll also get to find out where in the store all your necessities are from the superfoods, childhood-favourites, and fresh vegetables, to ingredients that are vegan-friendly and coeliac-friendly ingredients. Discover all the tasty sauces, spices, noodles, dim sum, seafood and more – Oriental Emporium will guide you through the flavours of Asia and talk about how to use them best.

Learn about the lesser known ingredients such as Asian herbs and how to make nutritional herbal soup – Winter is coming!

During this tour there will also be a mochi-making demonstration by one of their own team members. Mochi is a Japanese mini sticky rice flour cake with a sweet filling. And it’s delicious! Oriental Emporium will go through how to make three different types of mochi: black sesame, peanut and green tea; all with a tasty red bean filling.

This special tour of Oriental Emporium takes place on Sunday 20th October at 1pm. Each participant of the tour will receive a goodie bag alongside tastings. Registration is necessary as availability is limited to 30 persons.
